The Central School in Athens

The Central school is located in Athens, the capital of Greece, a bustling city with a population of nearly 3,000,000. Athens has long been a popular destination for visitors to Greece, offering a wide range of activities and ensuring a memorable experience. Throughout the year, Athens exudes charm and provides numerous options for both tourists and our students. These options include exploring museums, taking walks at the Acropolis and the Ancient Market, as well as enjoying a coffee or a meal at a modern or traditional Greek restaurant or bar, which often stay open until the early hours.

The building

In September 2017, we moved to a stunning new building at 25 Mavrommateon Street in the heart of Athens. This neoclassical gem, built in 1918, marked its 100th anniversary the same year we settled in. Originally a grand residence for an affluent Athenian family, the building showcases remarkable architectural details. Its prime location opposite the picturesque PEDION TOU AREOS (CAMP OF MARS) PARK offers a serene green oasis for our students to enjoy.

Our building boasts a delightful front garden, and students can take leisurely strolls in the Pedion tou Areos Park.

With three floors (I, A, B), our building is carefully designed to cater to diverse needs. The ground and second floors house our teaching classrooms.

On the ground floor, you’ll find classrooms I1, I2, I3, I4, and I5. I1 is a fine arts laboratory, while I5 is dedicated to dance workshops. I3 hosts a psychology book library mainly used by the Educational Center of Psycholtherapy through the Arts  Department .

The second floor features classrooms B1, B2, B3, B4, and B5, where most of our school’s lessons take place. The first floor accommodates various offices, including those of the  Director, the Manager of the Psychology Department, the respective Administration Assistant, the  Communication Officer of our School , the Accountant, the Office of the teachers and the Library.

Each floor is equipped with water coolers, and conveniently located toilets are available on the ground and second floors.
