Home » About Alexander Greek School
Our school, established in 1972, initially operated as a department of DELTA PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL, one of Greece’s largest professional schools. In 1990, it became a department of BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE, expanding its international reach. Today, our school operates in Athens and other Greek cities as a branch of the 4E EDUCATION AND TRAINING educational company. Over the years, we have fostered strong partnerships with schools and universities across Europe, primarily through our involvement in European educational initiatives. We collaborate with Greek organizations dedicated to promoting the Greek language, offering free courses and educational materials to support Greek language instruction both in and outside Greece. Furthermore, we have teamed up with NGOs to provide Greek language education to refugees and immigrants.
Costas Karkanias has founded the School during 1972 and continues being its director since then. Costas, as he asks our students to call him, is a well known educationalist and author in various educational areas . He participates actively in the every day operation of the School and loves communicating with students.
Costas is behind the main ideas on which our teaching methodology is based :
Starting from the above ideas we have initiated several international relative projects , that have been approved and partially financed by EU, through which we have developed an innovative series of educational material covering all possible needs of foreign students.
